In addition to above comments, a few additional notes. It is pretty easy to climb up to Hortense in fact. Not too steep and nothing technical. Brave Lake is another nice getaway in this region. Wilbur May Lake is also a choice spot. I think my favorite lake in terms of beauty in the Minnow Creek area is Anne Lake but Peter Pande is a close second. Regarding Brave Lake and Hortense Lake see the 2018 post viewtopic.php?t=18658. The Hortense climb with full pack was done on a blown-out knee, too (not as daunting as the descent from Brave, though).
