Most lakes in the Wind Rivers do not have official names that are put on the USGS topo maps. The name of the lakes above Upper Golden Lake are those used by the Game and Fish. Trapper is the first large lake you come to. There is a fish directory for the Bridger National Forest out on the internet, or you can get a copy free at the FS office or Game and Fish office in Pinedale.

The Big Trapper Lake that I referred to in my trip report is Lake 10885 and is located northeast of Angel Pass. It's also just north of Lake 11125 (Upper Hay Lake). Hope this information is helpful.
