Wander With Dogs. I entered this area just once, from the odd angle NW from Pretty Pass, above Convict Creek. Had no idea it was a fishing destination. I really was baffled by the photos, and it makes sense, since I have only been near Duck Pass, from my journey along the SHR.

p.s. Do you know... of course you do, that no fish can be taken and eaten after something like mid-Nov.? WTF? What am I supposed to eat, or do I do another foodless trip? I am dead keen to get back into the Sierra--just looking for the right place, where I can set up a cool basecamp, have a fire, fish maybe, if only for the fun of it, and climb up something.
