@grampy I was just over Mono Pass (May 13-15). I just saw this. I tend to think you'll not have a lot of snow by then. There were already dry patches near the Pass. You may have snow on some N or NE aspects but you should be able to navigate around them or at least the steep-ish bits. I suspect the main challenge will be timing snow crossing such that you don't post-hole like crazy. Although by then the snow should be more consolidated.

Expect the Mono drainage to be very wet!
