Hi Ian,
It took me a while to get back to HST, so this was a great intro to what's going to be on tap for the Summer; if the fire gods are kind (like they were for a good chunk of last year), I'll be tickled. Still, it's better to get out sooner if one is hoping for the kinds of long distance views you had on this trip.
Fantastic write-up, and I'm pretty confident that the arrows you inserted on the long view to the GWD were spot on. Cheers,
