Ha, I was going to add the same comment!
Thanks! It's my quarantine beard. I stopped shaving on March 17, when the office shifted to work from home. Definitely keeping it at least through Christmas, so I can play Santa Clause with my grandkids.

I didn't notice, but then I wasn't looking. Have to remind myself to look for it.

Like the Walt Whitman look.
Hey there Lou! Thanks, and we should get together...whenever it's okay for people to get together again.

My photo is from that trip when we camped for the night at Bench Lake. I haven't backpacked on this trail out of the Bridgeport area but would like to. Glad you had the extra pair of shoes in the car.
Hi Lois! Thanks!

Thanks for the entertaining trip report and very fine photos, which bring back good memories. I've been in Thompson Canyon once from the north end (Buckeye Creek to Kirkwood Pass to Thompson Canyon to Peeler Lake, out to Twin Lakes, and hitch-hike back to Buckeye Creek), and once from the middle coming over from Stubblefield Canyon. If you liked Thompson, I think you would really like Stubblefield, which has long stretches of alpine meadows between sheer smooth granite walls and lots of solitude!
