Great trip report! Heading there this August, unless they shut the parks down again ( 
Question about the Onion>Kearsarge approach. I couldnt get clockwise Rae Lakes Loop from SEKI starting at End of the Road, only counterclockwise. If you approach from Onion side and go clockwise from Junction Meadow then around Rae's clockwise, do you still need the Seki permission correct? Or just the US Forest Service permit?
Im excited, whichever way I go.
