Thanks to everyone for comments, and to Daisy for pointing out a good explanation for the relative difference in signs of activity around Potluck versus Cirque. That sounds pretty plausible to me! Interestingly, we did run into a couple guys coming up Mather Pass who had come in via Taboose to climb peaks in and around the Palisades. We were impressed that they'd taken the arduous route up Taboose, but they did look like they had all kinds of spare energy. I'm guessing the levels went up higher once they reached the pass; it was glorious up there! Cameron
