That's incredibly useful. If that is all it is, by the time I get there in a week or so it should be fine. I bet there will be a well worn trough within a day or two where the snow tunnel collapsed.

Yes, but the ice was and may still be sliding down slope; it was migrating ~2 feet/day. Something to keep an eye on for the next few weeks.

I see. That is interesting. On the other hand, if I take my axe, it looks narrow enough that I could just cut a path through it if I really wanted to avoid walking over the top.
