Thanks for the report. I hiked this area a few years back and enjoyed it immensely. Even saw a pair of Bald Eagles at Pingeee Lake.
The sheer amount of exposed granite is breathtaking. I believe it was balzaccom who called this area "the bones of the world" (or something like that).

Yep. Bones of the Earth. Very cool place.
And this past week, we saw a bald eagle at Emigrant Lake....
