Yes, the NOAA snow website is good. Here I've centered it on King's Canyon. (It isn't perfect, though. You will find snow where it says there's none, e.g., in the shade.)

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

There will be considerable snow in Desolation as well. I hiked through the PCT in mid-July of 2011 and most of it had 3'-5'. Mav, I would even ask you to amend your OP to include Deso.
