What's the trail over "Old" Army Pass like these days? I understand that it still gets a lot of use since it's the shortest route to Langley, but I understand there are some slides over the trail. How hard is it to bypass/negotiate these sections, and are they fairly obvious in terms of what route one would take to negotiate them?
I'm pretty confident that I can do it if it's being done on a regular basis, but at least one of the guys I'll be with REALLY doesn't like sketchy stuff or heights, so anything you can tell me that might give me a sense of the trail would be much appreciated.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Re: "Old" Army Pass Trail
I hiked it last July. No problem. I don't recall any washed out sections. I still don't understand why the trail has the reputation that it does, outside of early summer snow.

OK, thanks guys. It doesn't sound like it'll be a big deal. Snow should be nearly all gone by the time we get there in August.
