Happy Holiday Seasons!
Wishing each and everyone of you, and your families, a fun and safe holiday
season!
Thank you everyone for bringing us joy with your numerous trip reports, personal
stories, and warm personalities. Each and everyone of you make High Sierra Topix
a special and unique place, were one can express their feelings relate or unrelated
to the Sierra Nevada without being judged. Many folks here have met up in the
backcountry and have forged a long term friendships with one another. The Sierra
Nevada, these glorious mountains are what brings us all together as community, and
has us sharing our lives as kindred spirits. My hope for the upcoming year is that we
continue to share our mountain adventures with each here on HST, but even more
importantly get an opportunity to meet one other beyond just the computer screen.
Cheers,
Maverick

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Happy Holidays to everyone--a ceremonial toast of Sequoia Buzzsaw double IPA to one and all.
Of course eating too much is just additional motivation to step up the training (or the latter is an excuse to eat too much).

Since my fishing (etc.) website is still down, you can be distracted by geology stuff at: http://www.fresnostate.edu/csm/ees/facu ... ayshi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Happy Holiday Seasons!
I'm pretty thankful to have this site. Keeps me out of trouble.
Very thankful for the admins and mods for what they do to keep us on track and spam free. An additional thanks goes out squarely at Eric for hosting the site and I'd like to remind people about the button at the bottom of the page to support HST!
I'm glad we didn't lose more people this season. Seems like a rough 2 years.
Everyone be safe and prep well for next season. Now we just need some real snow.
I wish you all the happiest of holidays!
Russ

What everyone else said, and more! This is a tight AND inclusive community site, we build on each other's experiences. Without HST, I am pretty sure I would not have been motivated to take up backpacking again at 65. Stay safe and warm while getting out this holiday season!
