Interesting new photo up from plowing at Tenaya Lake. No snow at all on the south facing granite slopes above the lake:

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Looks like confirmation that Tioga Road will open Thursday or (more likely?) Friday, Sonora Pass scheduled for Friday too:

Yosemite website indicates Tioga Pass road to open Monday the 7th at Noon.

This looks like the earliest in 25 years. The plowing website says it opened on 2 May in 1987. The next nearest date is May 11, 2007. I've got a friend from out here in the east who is contemplating the Rae Lakes Loop in June; he might actually be able to do it!
