That's a Sinar large format 4x5. I wish it was the medium format, which was much easier to use. I still use the tripod, but haven't used the camera in 10 years, so I'm selling it. My pack was way too heavy!
Looking up into Crystal Gorge, above Tehipite Valley. The water that sluiced over the beautiful, smooth granite was warm. I'd say that in a couple of weeks this sucker will be raging with icey cold snow melt. I'd love to see it. Canyon of The Middle Fork of The Kings River, SEKI. Vintage Kodachrome 64. July 1987.
next time i venture into tehipite, i'll have to cross the kings and head up to those pools.

Lost Coyote, Yes the water in the pools above was warm. There were also a few hot tub sized holes filled with warm water. It was nice to soak in the water while soaking in the view. Van
