Anyone have a clue as to why this is happening?
an example..........look at the pic with the frying pan & Trout. lame.

Again, great pics. I really love that area and the difficult IN was worth it. I did not get into the upper reaches of Granite Park, but cut off up into Royce via Royce pass. There is no trail up there at all, but it's pretty easy going on meadow and smooth granite slabs. Royce is all talus for the most part and travel is tough up in there, very few flat spots to walk. I think the lack of trails is not necessarily a bad thing. I imagine the trails were built for the mines and pack animals for the most part and they don't go too far above honeymoon.

Re: Mid October trip to granite park
Really? First I've heard of this problem. Would you please post an example photo where that was occurring on the Photo Test Thread for me to take a look at the coding? I'll see if I can fix the problem.
Cheers,
Eric

I've been targeting this area for years. These pictures are making want to get the ball rolling. Great trip. What gear did you use for the brookies?

Re: Mid October trip to granite park
the brookies? well, I just used some small 1/8 oz spinners with one of the barbs on the
treble hook cut off. I only fished in the lower 3 lakes, not in the upper basin.
there are small goldens up there but you would most likely need a flyrod to drop a fly in front
of there noses, very skittish fish (&small) in those shallow ponds. I'm not sure
if the 3 larger glacial ponds hold fish.

Nevadasmith-
Great TR on Granite Park! I hope to visit somewhere in this near vicinity next
summer (ie: Humphrey Basin or Honeymoon Lk). Beautiful shots and that
shot of the brookies in the frying pan made me smile! Thanks for Sharing!
