Following up on Old_Hiker's report, here are some photos from my July 4th weekend trip into Miter Basin, with a quick jaunt up to the top of Langley. This is my traditional first Sierra trip of the year, and it was a great one, with perfect weather and far fewer mosquitoes than I expected. The key was to sprint past Rock Creek and Soldier Lake (which I'm happy to do anyway). Above 11,000, where I camped all 3 nights, the skeeters were relatively tame.

Cool! Nice to see all the snow Q.
Love the view from Langley, and could I get the make-up persons name, they did
a good job.

Thanks everyone. Maverick -- all I know is his name was Nick from San Diego. If I can track him down, I'll hire him as my personal photographer.
