The Raven....'Nevermore....'
While waiting for sunset to capture Horsetail Falls, I saw a pair of Ravens circling around. I was bored and I just happen to have my big lens ready. This is taken from my van as I was trying to take a nap....

Beautiful photo! My buddy Birdman would be proud that you called it a Raven and not a Crow. A bunch of us hikertrash were sitting around a spring and I said, "Hey check out all those crows." Without even looking up or breaking his concentration Birdman said ,"They are Ravens."
I said, " So how do you know that smartypants?"
To which he replied, "They(Ravens) are Bigger and Smarter."
Everyone was rolling with laughter!
Of course, Birdman was correct! And it became the running joke between us for 2000 miles.
I learned that Crows are most commonly found around cities and Human habitations.
Ravens are in fact larger and can display more complex social behaviors and structures.. and like all of us on HST, prefer the wild places.

You can make more money, but you can't make more time.

Thanks. I must admit, I had to Google to ID it.
