Nice shot up Tenaya Canyon!
It looks like it was shot from Glacier Point or near about from the angle, right?
Great to see all that snow.

Yes, Mav, from Glacier Pt. We did a snowcamping trip with the Bay Area Snowcamping section of the Sierra Club. Quite a dump Sat. night - 4am dig-out. Snowed most of Sunday, too - 2 feet total. What I love about the Sierra is that from season to season she has so many faces.

Tower Peak over the far end of Tilden lake:

Bonnie, Stella, Ruth, and Helen Lakes from the shoulder of Forsyth Peak Toiabe National Forest

The difference in the granite is striking here though the two photos are geographically very close. Dorothy lake Pass was an eye opener for me.. I had no idea the rock could change so completely in such a short distance.

You can make more money, but you can't make more time.

Magic Hour
Near March Lake (south of Reds Meadows), as the warming sun made quick work of the moisture from the storm that went through the day before

Re: SIERRA INSPIRATION PHOTOTHON!
I just LOVE this one of the flower-hiker. Here's a pan to the south from a week ago for Mav. As it turned out I lost my mom a week ago while up there. Even though she was 87 with dementia, it's put a halt to life-as-usual. It was a harsh, disconnected relationship which has left me with a lot of conflicting feelings and has left me unable to do much but wash windows and dig in my berry patch. My sweet daughter thinks that's the perfect metaphor: an attempt to see more clearly and turning over soil for new life. Dang, I love that kid.
