Post by maverick »

This was sent at the beginning of the week.

Fresno Co Sheriff's Dept:

Earlier today I spoke with various media outlets on the latest regarding the search for Tiffany Slaton. Below is a link to download our Zoom interview should you wish to use it.

The most recent news release can be found on our website. You have permission to use any and all photos / video. Images of Tiffany’s property are what she sent to her family in the past. We have not located any of her items.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Speaker list

John Zanoni – Sheriff of Fresno County

Tiffany Slaton – Rescued Hiker

Bobby Slaton – Tiffany’s father

Fredrina Slaton – Tiffany’s mother

Scott Weishaar – Fresno County Sheriff Sergeant / Search and Rescue incident commander

Some points of clarification.

Tiffany is now 28 after having her birthday yesterday (5/15)

We are now saying the last time Tiffany was officially seen was April 20 (Easter Sunday) when a camera at Huntington Lake captured her. We have learned that sightings of her near the old Cressman’s General Store on April 24th are not valid. It must have been someone who looked like her because Tiffany says she never came down the mountain after the 20th, she continued east, further up toward Mono Hot Springs.

The first day she would classify herself as lost was either April 21 or 22. She arrived to the cabin on May 13 and was only there 8 hours before being found.
