Yes, that god#$%^&*&ded slippery, too damned bright, flowers-covering stuff is pretty useless.... but it does thin the crowd.

Thanks everybody for the ideas, insights and prior experience!

I think May is more likely, or June if I wait until my co-conspirator has a weekend free. I was in the Truckee area on Monday and around 7500 feet there were still a few feet of slushy snow, melting quickly.

Here is a look at the area on 4/20. Kibbie is ice free and the ridge is melting out pretty well.
