I did that as soon as i got the notice. MSR sent a new stand alone pot grip and asked that you remove the existing handle from the pot.
Haven't had any problems with the existing handle yet, so i'm not sure what i will end up doing. In the end, will likely use the new one since i am old and getting clumsier by the day.
