Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Until last BIG winter, I was in the habit of checking the Sentinel Rock webcam daily. But that phone line went down, and the road was closed months ago. But I just noticed its back!
sentinel_2023.jpg
moved slightly, and missing the time stamp. Does anybody know when it came back, and is the road open?

Yosemite Conservancy:
Glacier Point Road will fully open July 15 at 6 am with 30-minute delays, Monday through Friday, 6 am to 9 pm. The road will be open 24 hours per day. The midweek closures in early July will allow for paving to continue, including all parking lots, which need to be empty.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
