I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!
For most of my sunrise/sunset landscapes I take two exposures and blend them together in Photoshop. This helps even out the exposure between the bright sky and dark foregrounds.kpeter wrote:Did you use some flash for the foreground?

Is there overnight parking at Agnew Meadows? I’m going to do the Agnew Meadows-1000 Island Lake Loop in a few weeks and looks like DP Natl Monument is closed, which is where I was going to park.

There IS overnight parking there, but the road is closed, with no prediction of if / when it will open this year. You'll likely have to park up at the top, then walk the road down to get to the trailhead.

@Andyw - they allow long-term parking in the furthest lots (definitely C, maybe B) by the Mammoth Adventure Center / lodge / ski area on Minaret Road. From there, you'll walk toward the Minaret Vista entrance station, then head down Reds Meadow road til you get to the Agnew trailhead.
