Campsites along Minaret Creek / Minaret Lakes Trail

Hey everyone we will be doing a loop trip starting on the Minaret Lakes Trail but we will be getting a really late start our first day due to travel (I already spoke with rangers when we did our call in permit pickup). Instead of hiking in the dark our plan is to hike a couple miles in and camp that night so we are looking at the Johnston Lake area or after the first set of switchbacks climbing up from Johnston lake. We will be pushed for time so I'm trying to get a little beta to save time hunting for a campsite that first night.
