Any trip reports from early in a low snow year? Looking at this weekend but having a hard time telling what that would mean in practice.

Yesterday's satellite image shows Lamarck Col to be pretty dry on the southwestern side, but full of snow on the northeastern side.

For what it's worth we did it last year over the 4th of July and I don't even remember there being any snow.

For what it is worth, I tried climbing Mt. Ritter on the SE side June 17 and had to give up at 11,000. ft. The snow was greatly suncupped and already too warm and absolute rubbish by 9 am. I will be posting a TR soon on this.

Re: Lamarck Col
There were only very small patches of snow on the north side, as of June 20. Minimum risk.
