Some miscellaneous new sections of trail around the Bay Area are being constructed. Or closed trails re-opened.
New backcountry campsites in Grant Park soon.
700 new trail signs to be installed on north side of Mount Tam! Not a bad idea; the trail signage around there is terrible.

The bay area ridge trail is pretty darn well maintained. As much as I dislike reserving land that could be used for housing, the trail network is pretty nice to hike/run on.

There are a lot of day-hikes, but I wish there were also more backpacking opportunities in the bay area. I think I have walked every trail at Point Reyes and Henry Coe several times.
