Re: PG&E Power Shutoff
We already had a preventative shutdown last month. (SCE) After 24 hours I did drag up the generator and get it running. Then the power came back on.
We are under notice today, but, so far, only have the lightest breeze. I dared to put a load in the washer.

How many of the affected people will go to bed early tonight because there is no TV to watch?
Will there be a mini baby boom in about 9 months?

It's terrible when the power is shut off. We have to watch television by candle light.

Re: PG&E Power Shutoff
Our power is still on (Petaluma). My zone isn't indicated for power shutdown according to the map. Doesn't mean a PG&E equipment failure won't bring us down as they try and restore power to other zones. I'm more worried about tree failures later tonight.

And use a flashlight to read the settings on the microwave.

This is real for a lot of people (child care, stop lights out, businesses shut down, etc.)
No need to make light of it.

I am in the zone and power is out but I live off the grid so all good here!

Re: PG&E Power Shutoff
Our power is still on, but got notification, about an hour ago, that PG&E is now planning to shut-off power at 8 pm, but they said it would be shut-off at 12 pm, which it wasn't, and then again at 4 pm, so we shall see. Back-up generators are in place, just is case.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Re: PG&E Power Shutoff
Power's out in Moraga, but there was still a fire there this morning that nearly took my sister's house out. Burned the backyard, but thankfully spared the house.

Nice the house was saved. Did your sister have to evacuate?
