Pre-Sawmill Campsite?

Hello all,

Just wondering if anybody had a recommendation for a place to sleep the night before getting an early start to tackle Sawmill Pass. Is this a sleep-at-the-trailhead situation, or is there something more pleasant that's close enough to make for a relatively convenient drive in the early AM?
