High flow and the bottom half is still covered in snow. I compared it with a photo I had of the same place in several years ago.

By the way, do you know of an easy way I can simply reduce the size of the photos. Or does that matter? Did someone say that 12 photos is the limit I can put in a post, now that I cannot link to Photobucket? The unprocessed photos are not too bad and maybe it is better to just get them in this post.

The uploader limitations are described below, which you can either upload from your desk top, documents, or downloads directly, that is if they are not over 2 MB, if they were taken in raw, for get it.

If you wish to attach one or more files enter the details below. Maximum file size per attachment is 2MB and there is a limit of 12 attachments per post to avoid long page load times. If posting a long trip report, we suggest breaking it into multiple posts to the same thread (e.g. Day One, Day Two, etc.). Typing in a "File Comment" gives the photo a caption. After upload you have the option to place attachments "inline" wherever you want them to appear in your post, otherwise by default they will appear where you left your cursor in the posting window and will line up in the order uploaded.

Thanks for the information. In addition to no Photobucket links, the latest Windows update does not work with my Photoshop Elements 10. So I am temporarily stuck with the photo package that is in Windows, which is terrible. I do have Zoom Browser, maybe I will try that. I guess I could e-mail them to myself at the reduced size.

When you say 12 photos per post, is that why some are posting their trip reports in parts? So I could post the trip in parts if I want to put in more than 12 photos? Right!

Alternatively, you could use an outside image hosting service besides Photobucket. I've been using Imgur for the last few years and I'm pretty sure they auto-compress/resize to some degree, though don't quote me on that. Privacy settings are also easy to change if you don't want your pictures disseminated to the wider Imgur userbase.

I also did Mono Pass -> Pioneer Basin July 15-16. Not much to add except there were plenty of mosquitoes by the time we got to our campsite at lower lake (~10,800 ft). We went north of the lake to a huge dry spot and were lucky that there was wind blowing throughout most of the time we were there. When it was still, the mosquitoes were swarming and were plentiful closer to trees and water. Creek crossings not as concerning as I expected. Up to the knees sometimes but flow was manageable (some rough spots) and could cross with not too much effort.

I would definitely recommend staying high after getting over Mono Pass. Dropping down to Summit Lake was not worth it because of the sun cups. It was very slow going. We didn't need crampons or microspikes at all, but there were some steep side traverses on snow that took some effort and definitely hiking poles required.
