From maverick's similar post last year, here are the deets for posting to this thread:

1 - No mosquitoes or if there are some, but not biting yet (Blue)
2 - Very light during the day, moderate at dawn and dusk (Green)
3 - Moderate during the day, heavy at dawn and dusk (Yellow)
4 - Heavy during the day, heavy at dawn and dusk (Orange)
5 - Unbearable all day, no breaks, cannot eat outside of tent. If you stop, hundreds
will descend on you; when looking thru a camera viewfinder, you see more skeeters than
lake. If you slapped your arm, you'd smear blood from all the dead gorged bodies (Red)

This particular thread has grown since I started it years ago. One of the most useful on the site(not because I started it but because of all the good input others have made).
Didn't get into the back country last week but 0-1 in Sentinel Campground in evenings and 1+ in meadows by the river in the evenings.
Hope to get up the Sawtooth Pass trail out of Mineral King at the end of June so will have a report from there at that time. If anybody gets into the MK area before then I would appreciate a report.
Just a suggestion, when replying to this thread if giving a report on a new area, use the reply button at the very top and change the subject line to the area you are reporting on.

I was in Tuolumne Meadows/Tioga Pass for the day ~5/23 and there were no mosquitos. Still quite a bit of snow at the Pass, but in the meadows I imagine they'll will start emerging soon. Don't know about Glen Aulin.
Illilouette Creek drainage - 0.
LVY, Merced Lake, Sunrise and above, didn't see any.
Yosemite Valley. Second hand reports of 2-3 near Mirror Lake at dusk.
0-1 during the afternoon.
First hand observed an otherwise very attractive pair of legs covered in bites...
Bug level seems to still be below 6000'.
Spent the weekend at Manter Meadow in the Dome Land Wilderness. I was very surprised that we only saw a few of the little bloodsuckers in the morning. The days and evenings were skeeter free.
