Spring is just around the corner, and that means that we're all hoping the road into Kings Canyon opens on time! It is scheduled to open on April 22nd, depending on the condition of the road from the Rough Fire and debris slides.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

They were really worried about the road after the rough fire and there were rumors that it may get so damaged that it won't open in 2016. On the bright side, they recently resurfaced the road and some of the slides that have already been cleared showed that it's holding up really well to the rock fall. We just gotta hope that no entire sections went missing...
