Water pH / quality in Sierra Nevada streams / springs / lak

I try to get my water from springs, though I'll get it where I need to if necessary. I survived getting water borne problems while a back country ranger in places where their were 100's of cows and 100's of campers upstream of me. The Sierra water is the best, especially when it comes from a spring.
