Thanks for the heads up on the Trail-Pix. I almost always hike with my wife and or son so we would have 3 or more poles available. I ordered a Fuji X-T3 with the 18-55 OIS lens kit. I also ordered a Rokinon 12mm F2.0 NCS CS Ultra Wide Angle Lens for night scapes and astrophotography. I have done a lot of Milky Way shots with my Canon 6D but never when backpacking. I hope to give it a try this summer on shorter trips.

You know the location. Moo coming up behind Black Giant and illuminating Mount Solomons makes this more interesting than the usual night sky

Mistakes make the best teachers; I forgot to turn off auto ISO. Thankfully, I had it set to max at 12800. Next time I'll lower the ISO and increase the exposure time. And use my Sony 20mm G f1.8 prime.
