I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I've been lurking here for some time. Sorry I didn't post here earlier. I'm from Oregon, but I've been visiting the Sierras off and on for most of my life, and lived in Reno for two stings. My first backpack trip into the High Sierras was 1986.

Re: Lurkers Please Introduce Yourself =)
Well, I don't know if I'm actually in the "Lurker" category, but it's been a few years since I've posted. Changes in my life have landed me in Virginia (moved here in 2018). There are some decent trails here (McAFee Knob is probably my favorite), and I'm not far from the AT, but nothing to compare with the Sierra.
This being said, I'm REALLY happy to say that I landed a JMT permit for this August!! My first choice was out of Happy Isles (of course), but I got my second choice - Lyell Canyon (Donahue Pass).
So now I'm starting the research of figuring out the "obstacles" - the Tuolumne Meadow campground being closed (I'd been hoping to stay there a day or two), the road to Reds Meadow that "may" be closed for repairs (not sure if that's going to affect resupply packages), the bridges that washed out and may-or-may-not be repaired, etc.
I'll end this by saying that it was good to see some of the names that I remember from years ago
