Hi,
my name is Inge and I just joined this forum.

Some of your names are familiar to me from other sites. I love photography and the Eastern Sierra. Have not been out much lately,

but when I go back to the McGee Creek Canyon I will make sure to post some pics.

Hello Inge,
Welcome to this forum. I'm new around here too. I popped over to your site to have a look around and found a winter shot of Yosemite Valley from Inspiration Point. Were we standing next to each other????
This was taken on March 12, 2006
Regards,
Robert

Inge,
I was there at 1:29 March 12, 2006, just a few hours behind you.
Your photo is so much sharper than mine though. What camera/lens did you use for this photo? I'm terribly disappointed with my Canon EF 28-200 f3.5 USM I think it's time to spend some change from my piggy-bank and pick up the EF 17-40 f4L.
Regards,
Robert

I used a Canon 5D and a 24-85 F3.5 USM lens. Here are my exif settings 32mm F9 1/125sec MLU remote release.

Welcome to the forum! Beautiful shots on your website! I was at Rock Creek 0ct 2, 2004, so maybe I saw you.
I took some photos this weekend of the McGee Creek avalanche, a natural slide on Mt. McGee's east face that ran almost to the frontage road on 4/5/06. Photos in the next day or so.
