Am I crazy - Lillian Lake Loop this Weekend

Am planning to hike from Fernandez trailhead in the Ansel Adams Wilderness to Lillian Lake this weekend (5/16) Ranger station reports the road to the trailhead has been plowed for maintanance work so access is possible. I plan to take snowshoes but no crampons. I have a fair amount of mountaineering experience but not in spring snow at lower elevations and am comfortable with wayfinding as I expect trails will be invisible. Any advice, comments etc will be appreciated.
