In Grant Grove we recieved around 3-4 " of new snow. The marked X-C trails still need another 3-4 to be skiable. Montacito Sequoia recieved a little more and they have begun to groom trails. All trails in the Grant Grove area should be good after this next storm. Fingers crossed!

Skibum, when I first went to work at Giant Forest, (1978) there was 6' of snow on the ground in mid May. The employee housing guy, (Buck) gave me a shovel and welcomed me to the mountains! It was pretty cool for an 18 yo kid. I'm sure the snow will pile up before too long.

Nothing but rain so far. Pretty much lost our base

Another set of storms are stacking up in the Pacific. Hopefully, the temps will drop and we will get snow. These storms at this time of the year are usually are main snow makers. Last year we got 4 ft. of snow in 2 days during the new years storm.

Finally! (I wasn't around for the x-mas dump) If I can get my skis waxed tonight and my butt up tomorrow morning, I'll probably try and hit Kirkwood tomorrow.

2" here in the rain shadow at Carson City. Meyers web cam looks like a good dump going on tonight.
