ALDHA-West Ruck -- backpacking education event

The American Long Distance Hiking Association West is hosting their Northern California Ruck event on January 20th, at Camp Herms in El Cerrito, CA.

Whether you're new to backpacking, or a seasoned thru-hiker, this one-day event will educate and inspire you for the upcoming year. This event is especially ideal for anyone new to backpacking that wants to learn about gear, resupply, wilderness safety, and more. In full disclosure, I am one of the event organizers. We've organized this event for many years, and it's always been a fun and warm-hearted day to connect with your local trail community.
