Simba hit a fence. Left side. Jagged. Took him to the vet yesterday after seeing the 1 1/2" triangular gash behind his shoulder. Just skin and not a lot of blood. I found his fur where he hit it while I was mounting a sprayer on the tractor. I put the fence piece on the trash pile so it won't happen again.
Normal vet wasn't available, so I took him to another.

Nice head dress. Better than a cone. Still, $1600.. ouch

Poor guy :( I have to say that Simba's "Cone of Shame" is a lot better looking that the plastic one my dog had to have after surgery :)

I was very happy he didn't come home with the "cone of shame" as well. Hard to do stairs.

Simba looks 'hang dog' now, but given Lab's resiliency, I'm sure he will be back at 'em in no time.

Simba is fine, but I can't help with the irony of this gathering:

When he goes out with his head dress Simba actually scares the horses to death. Like a big moving blue mushroom.
