backcountry snow Mammoth area

The wife and I stayed at Tamarack lodge last weekend and the snow coverage was sparse. Last week before the snowstorm Thurs, they were busing skiers to the Mammoth Pack station area. Lake Mary Road was skiable, but not for long with out more snow. Probably had 3 -5" with some thinner parts. The snow was better up higher, and probably a foot of good snow up to Mcleod Lake and Mammoth pass. We went up Emerald Lakes trail toward Duck Pass and had some pretty good snow as well, but still a little thin. Phil
