California fire permits now on line.

Post by gary c. »

When we stopped to get our permits Sunday the lady told us we could get them off the Seqoia site. This will make things much easier

Look all the way at the bottom of the page.

Thats a fantastic feature. Thanks for the link. It'd be very cool to have this feature for wilderness permits....I think this came up in a discussion a while back.

When you come to the mountains, please be aware of conditions especially when it gets on into July and later. Don't burn me out. Retrictions are usually posted at the trailhead, so take a moment to peruse any posters. Even in wilderness areas which can be exempt most times, may have restrictions on campfires. I have told "good" people before that fires were not permitted at the time but they continued on. If the ranger catches you, no excuses, just a hefty fine. Smokers too. Be aware of what is permitted.
Piece of cake.

Thanks! That will save me the usual hassle of stopping by a NFS office. I get these each year because I disperse camp most of the time. ...David

I used to just bug my neighbor for one each year (She is the District Battalion Chief/ Fire Prevention Officer), now I will just do it the easy way. :D

Also --

The permit is valid for all of California, not just Sequoia NF. The Sequoia website is probably just hosting it for all the forests and agencies.

A most excellent suggestion! Why didn't I think of that? :retard:

I will log off and go make several copies now, before I forget...
