Just a follow up. After a bunch of searching and contacting various tent/shelter makers it looks like the Bear Paw Luna 6 is the best fit for us. It is a big departure from what I'm used to using but it is big and lightweight. We'll also get the internal screen tent to make it a "sealed" system. I'll be ordering it shortly but honestly probably won't get to use it until next season.

Wow, thanks for that thread FeetFirst. Funny thing is I googled BearPaw and luna and found a bunch of reviews (mostly hunters) who loved it. This was my last chance at 1 tent that I can figure out. Looks like I'm getting 2 tents. I understand the reason for 2, but I know my kids really prefer having everyone sleep in 1 tent, and remember they are still young (7 and 9) so keeping them happy and secure at night is one of my big goals. :)

There are other pyramids with similar dimensions available from reputable brands. The Luna 6 is spec'd at 120" x 120" square footprint and 72" - 78" tall. Take a look at Oware USA's 10' x 10' pyramid (http://shop.bivysack.com/Pyramid-Tarp-1 ... d10x10.htm). I'm pretty sure they make an "inner" too, but I don't see it on their website so you'll need to send them an email to check. Or, Mountain Laurel Designs' Supermid at 9' x 9' with inner net (https://mountainlaureldesigns.com/product/supermid/).

My searches had not turned up Oware. Those look nice, I'll ping them about an inner net.

Thanks!
