Charlotte Dome Modified Eastern Approach

We've got a permit for July 8 entry from the East side with hopes of climbing the South Face. I'm aware of the high country snow/creek crossing conditions, no lectures needed. Snow depth reports and maps seem to indicate that the traditional Eastern access route past Charlotte Lake is still heavily socked in, but looks like dropping down to the Bubbs Creek trail from the Bullfrog Lake junction west of Kearsarge Pass might be in ok shape, relatively speaking. Then we could continue heading west on Bubbs, which looks to be mostly snow free, until the Charlotte Creek junction. I'd be curious to hear if anyone's approached from the East via that circuitous route. I haven't calculated how much longer it makes the approach. I probably don't want to know.

Here are some photos, beta, and TR's on Charlotte Dome's South Face, that might be helpful.

Thanks, Mav. We're familiar with the route beta, but haven't come across anyone approaching the Dome via Bubbs from the East (plenty approach via Bubbs from the West, of course).
