This guy knows what his priorities are. Rarely do I admire highly paid pro athletes but this guy has it figured out...Jake Plummer of the Denver Broncos.

"And, also, in spite of playing such a physically demanding position for 10 years, Jake is in good health. He wants to leave with his health intact because there's other things he wants to do.
He's into backpacking and handball and he wants to start a family. He wants to make sure he's healthy enough to play one-on- one with his kid in the backyard."

I was wondering how you were going to tie that into backpacking!
Looks like Jake's gonna have to find some new backpacking spots, unless he decides to retire in the Denver area...

He is retiring
because he is into backpacking and wants to stay healthy so he can do it.
Guy is a genius if you ask me.

I'm sure that's one reason for his retiring, but he hasn't exactly been given the option to stay and play in Denver (or as a
starting QB somewhere else for that matter), either.
