My colleague and I had discussed combining to develop a more comprehensive video. Might still do that for this trip, or the next. I had my camera going during the survey and also got some good footage when it was my turn in the front seat.

Very cool video. I liked your colleague's visual overlay with elevation direction and flight plot. How did he get that overlay? edit: guessing he did it with gopro plus virb. Very cool.

Plus, I'm hoping your wife didn't watch the video or she might not let you fly again. Not a lot between you and an extreme Winter in a downed Helo. I wouldn't pass a trip up like that in a heartbeat..

For anyone wondering, the helicopter was successfully hauled out by a Super 205 on 01/30, in serviceable condition.

Not sure...they're investigating it now. These investigations tend to be, ah, not speedy affairs.
