High Sierra Topix

As of May 6, 2015, the Sequoia National Forest and Giant Sequoia National Monument are under fire restrictions. Camp fires are limited to designated areas and smoking is limited to within vehicles or designated areas. For more information, scroll down to the bottom of the page under the title "Current Forest Orders" and click on the link, "Forest Order 2015_11 Fire Restrictions" to get the PDF for a more detailed description of where you can and cannot have a fire.

Sierra National Forest has also enacted fire restrictions for the Ansel Adams, John Muir and Kaiser wilderness areas.
