We call that site The Hyatt Regency. It's a good one. The beach on the NE end of the lake is The Sierra Riviera.

To late, Benson Lake in Yosemite has held that title for quite some time.

I have read that back in the day it would get swarmed with European tourists and somewhat resembles the Riviera. I'd love to see a picture of that.
