Finally met the head honcho of HST!

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Finally met the head honcho of HST!

Met up with Eric and his lovely wife today in Morro Bay. Had lunch over the harbor and talked about the Sierra Nevada. Doesn't get any better than that! Real nice, both of them! I am honored to have finally met them.

Did they pawn off any bumper stickers on you? Cori made me take a couple last Spring at Rock Creek.
Piece of cake.

Fun time, Jody! Megan and I really enjoyed your company. Pretty cool we were able to meet up. Amazing that your the very first from these forums I've ever met! Oh, and for the record, you're a pretty swell guy too and I take back everything bad I've ever said about you... ;) j/k

You know, I thought about stickers after we parted ways. It was such a spur-of-the-moment meeting that it never occured to me to bring a HST sticker or shirt. Oh well, next time...

P.S. Did you burn them, or stick them, Duane? :p

No stickers, but I do have a HST T-shirt. Should have worn it, might have really impressed Eric if I had shown up from church in that t-shirt.:)

I proudly wear a HST sticker on my p/u and the other one went on my Garcia Machine canister since at the time the only other vehicle I had was my rent-a-wreck Chevy Luv that was gathering rust with a nonop.
Piece of cake.

Very cool, Mountaineer!

We all wear our HST stickers proudly! Our stickers have been photographed almost as much as those silly monkeys! (almost) I have been caravanning on weekends with NormaR, so when we get separated, I look for the HST sticker in the window (so many SUV's on the road). :D

Hey Mountaineer -

Thanks for representing the "central coast chapter" of HST so well. :D

Eric - How do we acquire the famed HST stickers?

Sure thing; I haven't been up there in years. Shoot me an email and we can work out the details - and thanks for asking!
