I hiked Five Fingers and summitted Aquila Peak (5,174') on Friday. This was my first class 3 solo and was fun. I never found the 'steps', which was probably on the other side. It was really windy and I didn't spend much time up there.

Saturday morning I hiked Owens Peak with the OPGs. BobR, TomS, his daughter Jill and her husband Matt, and Rick Lovett and Jen. Rick is owner of the Indian Wells Brewery and left Bob a present on the summit that we passed around, then had beers for us at the brewery. Fun way to end the day!

Beautiful pictures Cori!! The Five Fingers are pretty cool looking. That is so very sad about the sweet little crow.

We took an extra day off work for SnowDude's birthday. On the way home we bagged Owens Peak, took the shortcut down to the pictograph site, then had dinner at Indian Wells Restaurant and Brewery. Great way to end a long weekend! :D

I tried to convince myself that I wasn't going to look at any more pics of Owen's Peak, [-( but now I have to admit that I might want to try it myself as an early season hike! Beautiful sunset pics!
